Purpose Statement
This short course, named in honor of ranching enthusiast David McKnight, is a critical educational initiative designed to help new and inexperienced landowners understand the fundamentals of natural resource management. Through applied learning and foundational information, the program empowers participants to make financially sound decisions, optimize land productivity, and maximize long-term land stewardship. By putting the pieces together, landowners gain practical knowledge they can take back to their piece of Texas and apply with confidence.

Short Course Overview
Starting in October 2010, this interdisciplinary short course held twice a year that plays an important role in successful ranch management, natural resource stewardship, and sustainable livestock and wildlife management.
This intensive 4.5-day course begins Monday after lunch so you have time to get to town and check-in. We conclude Friday at noon and wish you well on your way home and new adventure!
